Fed up with the Fees & Performance of your 401K?
How about taking control of your investments!
Recent performance of 401K Pension Funds have been disappointing to say the least. If you are approaching retirement and you are concerned about your 401K you should consult a Financial Advisor in the first instance. We are not Financial Advisors and cannot provide Financial Advice. Our information found below is factual data that you should seek independent financial advice.
The 401K! (Pension Fund)
There are 54 Million people in the US with a 401K retirement fund of varying sizes, however unbelievably there are 96 Million people that do not have one at all. In recent years the performance of 401K's have diminished with both lacklustre performance from Mutual Funds that are linked to the 401K and fees from brokers.
What should I expect to get from a 401K?
Whilst its beyond the scope of this article to cover all eventualities, we are going to use the most popular Mutual Fund used in 401K's, the Vanguard Wellington Mutual Fund which holds 65% in Stocks and 35% in Bonds. Over the last 5 years this Mutual Fund achieved an average of 7% returns with a brokerage fee of 0.25%. Note that if you invested $5000 annually for 30 years and averaged 6% return with a management fee of 1% you would have paid $71000 in fees. However if you had done the same with a management fee of just 0.25% you would have paid $19000 in fees.
What if you could make 10% per month and No fees!!!!
10% per month + Compound Interest + No Fees
Sound possible? It must be a scam - Read on
